Random update

So, I have no idea what I'm blogging about. I just had the sudden urge to blog. Oh well. I'll attempt to make it interesting. I think that my blog-mates don't post enough. Judit doesn't seem to have a problem posting on her other blog, though! *hmph* Just kidding... it doesn't really bother me. I find those posts rather amusing! And I also found some of the links to other Christendom blogs enjoyable as well.
So, I'm thoroughly ready for Christmas break to come! I have about 2 and 1/2 weeks left before I get to go home! I'm excited because then I won't have to worry about any classes. *YAY* I'm starting to dread finals (finally). I only have 3 during finals week... but I have one next week and a massive proposal due in Writing Process! Well, really it's not massive in size... but it's worth 20% of my grade and I haven't found all of my sources. It would be so much easier if I could use more inter-web sites, but noooo! I need at least 2 other sources, which have proven to be harder to find than I thought they would be. I'm proposing that adult stem cells should be used rather than embryonic stem cells for research, but there just isn't anything to be found on that! All of the scientific magazines I've seen were all for embryonic stem cells! Grrr. I have to have the first draft done by wednesday of next week, which seems like a long time, but considering I don't even have the sources, it's really not that far away :S
And I'm starting to stress out about my Sight Singing final--that's the one that I'm taking next week. Yeah, I'm not so good with the scale degree thing. That's gonna suck! Oh well... I'll just hafta practice :P
Well, Thanksgiving break was good. I got to see my brother and one of my older sisters, her husband and their son! He's 2. And cute. I also got to hang out with some of my friends! Jim Beth, Magdalena, Constancia, Shrimplofter, Shrimplofter's friend and I all went bowling. That was uber fun! Then we drove around in my mom's van for an hour or so... cuz I didn't have Scott. Then I got to talk with the Youth Minister on Sunday before Constancia and I left for North Country. There was a pretty bad storm down in South Country, so we barely got out! My dad lead us to a town just across the border in his truck because it was really icy. Then we got a call from Magalena who told us that "no-travel" had been called for our hometown. We got out just in time! *phew*
So, here I am at Mary, with a concert coming up this weekend, along with a formal. I'll give you three guesses as to who forgot her formal dress at home: Did you say Meche? Cuz you'd be right! Oops. So, now I'm waiting for one of friends to finally make it back to school so I can ask to borrow one of the 4 dresses she has! She's stuck in her hometown until the roads clear up. Grr-darn icy roads! Oh well... what can ya do, right?
Anyway, that's my big update! But Constancia and I are going to go into town here pretty soon. I need water and a $2 gift for one of my classes and she needs to get some stuff for one of her classes. So, word of the day: Liz, because I completely forgot that I was gonna start calling Jim Beth that! Oops again!

Chemistry

So, what's been going on with me between my birthday and now? Besides school: the most exciting thing that happened was going on another Search retreat. It was amazing! I could really feel the Spirit in my chapel group this time. I think everyone got a lot out of the weekend. Oh, and I got to meet Fr. Lacey, finally! He's a cool guy... really funny!
Then, just yesterday, my roommate and I were in town to get a few essentials (ie. milk, Mt. Dew) and I found the new Third Day CD! So, I bought it because I couldn't pass it up. Then the Canadian told me that she didn't want her Underoath CD anymore so she gave it to me. That was cool.
But, the real reason I decided to blog was to inform all of you faithfuls in Bloggerdom that I'm seriously considering transfering to UND next year. The thing is, I do like being here in Bismarck, but I just don't think I'm getting the best education for what I want to do with my life. I've always been interested in Chemistry, so imagine the dismay I felt when I found out that Mary didn't offer that major! Plus that, I don't think I really want to major in Music Ed, either. In fact, as crazy as it may sound, I don't think I want to major in any kind of music at all! Now before you have a heart attack, I want you to realize that this doesn't mean that I'm planning on completely quitting. I'm not. I'm still going to join choir and take piano lessons and guitar lessons if I can get them. But, if I don't major in music, I would have to give up my scholarship, which would definitely not be cool! However, at UND, I'm eligable to get my tuition completely waived. Plus that, I'll be closer to my favorite aunt and her family, my grandpa and my brother. That way, I'll be less likely to want to go home so darn much! If you didn't already know, I've been home 5 times already and we've only been in school for 9-ish weeks. :S Oh, and one more thing... UND is actually IN TOWN, which means I might not have to drive everywhere anymore. *yay for using less gas!* So I really think UND would be good for me. Any feedback? What does everyone else think about that?
Well, anyway... word of the day: hippopotamus because of the warm-up we do in choir for diction: "I shot a hippopotamus with bullets made of platinum because if I'd used leaden ones his hide would surely flatten them!" Tee-hee, I thought it was funny.
